Paisley Love

Another challenge!! :) This one is for card patterns sketch 112.

I have used a very beautiful paper from papermania, and a matching paisley embossed paper which i inked a little in white. Everything else, the chipboard flower, purple heart brad, silver petal stickers, white lace, rub-on-sentiment and shaded purple thread are some impulse buy knick-knacks from here n there :)

The inside of card reads "Good times roll" & the details of the lovely flower--

I have recently bought a small booklet which has multiple images (re-printed) to make 3D cards.. Do some cutting and you got ready to make them!! I bought the booklet long back & probably would not have started using them before reaching back home.. but this challenge really made me move my lazy bum and try this out for the first time.. i luckily had half a roll of 3D-double-sided-tape..

The first one i made - The boy looks soooo cute on that toy train..

This is another one i made - My hubby was impressed by the effect this 3D car gave. 

Here's a close up of the car. It looks so 3D with those layers! Even i was surprised !

These cards have turned out fantastic.. Now i am craving for another booklet. which alas i have not been able to find nearby.. I bought them on a sightseeing tour to Antwerp! & i'm sure my hubby going to blast if i even suggest going back to that place just to buy those.. lol..

**Thank goodness for husband who try to keep us sane from the maddening hobby! **

I am surprisingly getting a lot of time in Belgium to make cards.. A lot of them are kept unfinished though... Next week i hope i'll be posting a lot.. :D

For now, I completed this card for ICR's first challenge. The challenge was to use these colours - and interpret I.C.R for the cards.

Me participating in a challenge is rare, Still a challenge on yvonne's blog got me..This Challenge by Debbie is about using embossing folders & sanding/inking it, to get some amazing looking textures..
Never tried this before, so here goes my attempt -

I'm enjoying in Europe right now, & I'm so disapointed by the lack of any good crafting store here in Belgium.. I wasn't able to find anything nice in art n craft store.. There's huge selections of colors, paints, pastels, markers, sheets etc. but nothing for scrapbookers or crafters.. There's one big store still left to explore, i hope they stock some nice stuff.. :)

A week in cards - Day 5

hmmmm, I have tried another take on celebrate & enjoy, using same bottles & sentiment as here.

Though i think i have not managed to do better :D :D
And last month there was a secret sweetheart event at Indian craft room where we had to send some love to our secret sweetheart!! It was so much fun!! And i feel so guilty of being one of the defaulters.. :( I'm so sorry peeps, & especially Asha, to whom i had to send some love.. I'll be sending some love to you soon!

So here's what i received from my sweetheart Mallika -

And Februray meant my event month :) I received some love from Sudha too - She sent me cards and some awesome awesome stickers! Will put them to use soon!!

A week in cards - Day 4

Okay so here comes my 4th card in a row!! Can't believe myself.. really!! I used my newly (well 3 months old but put to use now) purchased blu-check-tape.. Have followed no pattern, no colour theme.. Was too tired to think of anything so just pulled out random stuff and made this..

I managed the 3rd day too!! yay to myself!! :) Left early for office & came late, still managed to pull off this card..
